I've re-registered for fall classes three times. The first two times it was just because I was agonizing over whether or not i wanted to drive to Camarillo 4 days a week.

Then last night, as I was basically re-typing this one dude's section of our group project (a guy who has managed to work his way in to my group on 3 separate group projects, and who I find to be the most single annoying person on campus), I though to myself, "I can never be in a class with this person again." So I asked him today what classes he's taking next semester and changed my schedule yet again so that I will have zero classes with him.

The bad news is that I'll be driving to school four days a week next semester. The good news is that I avoided sharing classes with annoying dude, got a class with Robby from Chapter 4, and I just have school from 11:30 to 2:15 every day, so I'll have a somewhat normal schedule.

More bad news -- I got stonewalled pretty harshly when I tried to talk to someone face to face about appealing this one final class that they want me to satisfy all the prerequisites for. I'm going to write a nice lengthy letter stating my case, but it looks like I'll be back in Spring of '06 to take one last class. That puts me in at a solid seven years for my bachelor's degree. A certain Tommy Boy quote comes to mind...

My beard is awesome, but I'm only giving it about one more week, despite the fact that it's my drum set beard, and my drum set won't be coming for four more weeks.

I dropped the van off for a new tire, and got a call back with an estimate of $3002 for four new tires, alignment, new brake pads and rotors, new shocks, and new ball joints. I'm pretty sure all members of the band are going to have to start selling themselves on Haley to raise the money for this. We'll probably try to find a cheaper place to do some of the work and do some of it ourselves (let's just hope that Casey REALLY knows how to do brakes).

Anyone want to buy a truck that may or may not die while driving and not start up again for 5 to 45 minutes? $5 OBO, or $2005 including the stereo.

I think since I spent so much time writing this I need to get me some more livejournal friends so that somebody actually reads this.

Has anyone seen my eel? [Feb. 5th, 2005|04:00 pm]
1. Reply with your name and I will write something about you.

2. I will then tell you what song/BAND reminds me of you.

3. Next, I will tell you who you remind me of, celebrity/animated or otherwise.

4. Last, I will try to name a single word that best describes you.

5. Put this in your journal.

I'm never buying another truck. [Dec. 22nd, 2004|08:10 am]
So, I wake up at 6:45 this morning to my phone ringing. Shrug it off, go back to sleep. It rings again immediately, and this time I yell at it, ignore it, then try to go back to sleep. It rings a third time (I'm talking three back-to-back calls here) and I bolt out of bed, figuring it must be something serious. I see it's from my parents' house... one of them must be on the way to the hospital.

Not the case.

The dog got sprayed by a skunk and they needed me to come in my truck to transport him to the dog groomers.

It's Christmas break and I am wide awake with an hour and a half of experience points already under my belt at 8:10 in the morning.

This is the same dog who got his collar snagged on the dishwasher rack and went flailing across the house with the whole thing hanging from his neck. I'm off to the Valley to pick up my sister. Then the family will be all together for christmas!

[music |Europe - The Final Countdown]

Well, my semester is now officially over. It has been, to quote Chris Burian (except he was referring to Donnie Darko), an exercise in mediocrity. I basically skated by, doing far less than I'm capable of, which saddens me because there were a couple classes I was really excited about this semester.

I'm excited, though, because I met with my counselor the other day and I am indeed on track to graduate this time next year. I turned in my application for graduation and everything. I see the light...

This is going to be a great six weeks off. It's a much-needed break. I look forward to a lot of snow-sliding activities, sleeping late, turning my aquarium into a thriving soap-free ecosystem, getting a lot of stuff done with the band, and catching up with friends I haven't seen much of.

Three cheers for it being 45 degrees in our house. I can barely type.

[music |Gwen Stefani, playing in Kevin Wade's room]

New entry so soon? But why, you ask. Look at my others and take a guess. That's right, I have a paper due tomorrow. It's the final paper for my postmodern art class. The assignment is to propose a postmodern "event." Mine is a laser rock show.

Silvergreen's doesn't have cream of mushroom soup this week. Boooooooo.

Thursday is decorating day. Kevin and I are running a covert op to my parents' house to steal Christmas lights so we can get them up on the outside of our house to earn points with the neighbors. Then we're lighting our palm tree and putting stockings on the mantel for all the guys. It's going to be adorable.

I stripped down my fish tank and cleaned everything with the intention of getting rid of whatever evil spirits killed my first six fish. Unfortunately I didn't get all of the soap off of some of the stuff I cleaned, so I now have some detergent film floating around the top of the water, which I'm pretty sure will kill any future fish. So I guess I'm just going to hook all of my filters up and replace all the water and try to skim the soap scum over the next few weeks to get everything soap-free. I feel like a mad scientist or something. I love that I've spent over 300 bucks to get this thing up and running again and I have no fish at this point. At least we got Brian's tank going, so I at least seem like I know what I'm doing.

I miss Growzer.

Woah, new entry. I just figured since I'm going to try to add a bunch of friends I might as well write something in here.

The show in IV last night was surprisingly enjoyable. We managed to pack the place out even though there was no beer there, and we got things sounding pretty decent. It was great to see Staring Back and it felt good to play for friends again.

I've always had a problem with school. I have ADD to the extreme and school really isn't right for me, but I'm committed to finishing my degree. These last couple weeks have been harder than ever. I am currently two weeks behind on assignments for Business Law and reading for Econ, and I have a group presentation and a paper due on Wednesday in two other classes. And yet I am posting on livejournal right now, and I just got done fixing our garage door, hanging pictures, and watching Kevin and Dan use ear candles (I still say it's a hoax). Only 4 weeks left of this semester and my motivation is at zero. I need a kick in the ass.

I can't believe I have a Live Journal. [May. 22nd, 2004|11:29 am]
Well, I'll probably never use this thing... I just wanted the account so that I can post on friends' Live Journals...  Party on.
